La Jolla Cove Underwater Park Snorkel
Sunday, July 6th at 10am
How about a Snorkel in La Jolla Cove. Meet at the North side of the rest room facilities in Scripps
Park next to La Jolla Cove at 10am. We will have lunch at 12 noon. Scripps Park is immediately
adjacent and an excellent area for picnicking. Water visibility at the Cove can sometimes exceed
30 feet, making it a popular location for scuba divers and snorkelers.
Directions: From the north, take Interstate 5 to La Jolla Village Drive, west bound, turn left on
Torrey Pines Road at the signalized intersection. Follow Torrey Pines Road to the signalized
intersection at Prospect Street and turn right. Watch for the signs and bear right on Coast
Boulevard.
From the south, take Interstate 5 north to La Jolla Parkway. Continue on as it becomes Torrey
Pines Road. Follow Torrey Pines Road to the signalized intersection at Prospect Street and turn
right. Watch for the signs and stay right on Coast Boulevard.
Parking: There is no public parking lot for La Jolla Cove. On-street parking can be difficult to find,
particularly in summer. It is limited to three hours at a time on weekdays and unlimited on
weekends, but check the signs for any restrictions. Paid parking is available in downtown La Jolla
at several locations and is a short walk from the beach.
What to bring; Snorkel gear, lunch, a towel, sun screen, lawn chair and a few friends....a wet suit if
you have one. There will also be a few set of snorkel gear for us to try complements of Michelle,

Mountain Biking in Mount Laguna
Saturday, August 23rd @ 1 P.M. Laguna Meadow & Nobel Canyon
See our camp out page for a pdf version of this information or to register for this outing.
This fantastic fast-paced ride is intended for Intermediate/Advanced riders as there are many
technical sections and long climbs. We'll head out from the campground, do a loop around
Laguna Meadow and then head down Nobel Canyon to Pine Valley. In Pine Valley we'll catch the
fire road and head back up. (If you don't want to ride the fire road back up the hill you are free to
organize your own shuttle (Adventure Pass required) by parking a car at the Pine Valley parking
lot before the ride. A complete description of the area (although not the exact ride we'll be doing) is
available at: Discription of the area. We will regroup at all trail intersections.

We'll go on a 2-3 hour Intermediate/Advanced ride. Details to be announced.
